Oh, the shame! The embarrassment! The ... thrift? Last weekend, faced with a Hershey's Baking Bar that was best by September
2010 and that I couldn't bear to throw out because it looked (and tasted)
perfectly fine, I whipped up a pan of Hershey's "
Quick and Easy Fudgey Brownies." I made the cake-like variation with ½ cup milk and 1½ cups flour, because I intended to serve these brownies with fresh raspberries and whipped cream and cake-like brownies seemed better suited to that pairing than gooey ones.
Definitely recommend this recipe if you're trying to get away from mixes, but still want fast, no fuss brownies. This was an extremely easy recipe anyone could make and it couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes to throw together. It made 24 cake-like brownies, which is far more than I get from most mixes.
